While experimenting with the PET felt I was mainly focused on melting the brighter colours and combining them which created an uncontrolled but interesting colour pattern. When I managed to control this process I asked myself if I was able to shape the plastic when melted. I came up with a mechanism that made it possible to blow air in the melted plastic which would create a bubble, wherefore I stretched the material and colour pattern. A surprising insight was that when the plastic is stretched out it became translucent, which made it possible to shine light through the plastic.
