Stax is a family of three samples made using the laser cutter to form different shapes that are then stacked onto one another. The playful and modular nature makes them interactive. Through the process of laser cutting PET felt, the cut sides harden, making it possible to interact with both smooth and rough texture. The rectangular strip of PET felt allows each component to rotate, whilst keeping their original form intact. Each form can be taken apart and replaced. The shapes of the pieces of each sample create different movements and they all feel different when interacted.
